About Us

Buddy Dogs was set up to flexibly meet the needs of our clients, who need regular or occasional support, allowing them to go into work without leaving their dog unattended at home, or to visit friends, or to go out for the day, when taking their dog is not an option. We provide a convenient pick-up and drop-off service and offer a natural countryside setting for dogs to enjoy, so you can relax and be rest assured your dog is being cared for and will have a fantastic time.

We have enclosed a two-acre field near Church Fenton that benefits from natural woodland shade along one side, within which we have built a cosy timber cabin that provides shelter and warmth. The field and cabin are distant from road traffic and the site is only accessible via a farm track. The field is secure, with high tensile fencing and CCTV.

Importantly, we want Buddy Dogs to be as sustainable as possible in the way we operate – so our van is fully electric, the cabin is powered by solar and wind energy, we compost dog waste, and use rainwater to wash muddy paws and fur. We have created a wildflower swathe along two sides of the field with the aim of encouraging pollinators, and we keep our pawprints small and local, by walking close to our base, keeping dogs numbers low, and limiting the size of our service area. In the future, we would like to support other local businesses (e.g. dog groomers) who could come to our cabin.
